Pokémon that can form change are able to alter their appearance when certain conditions are met. As in the video games, this sometimes imparts new stats and types, and thus access to different moves for the Battle Tower. However, in a departure from the games, form changed Pokémon have individual Pokédex entries for their different forms, and thus all must be obtained to complete the Pokédex.
Obtaining Form Changes[]
Because of the different mechanics in play on GPX+, the act of form changing requires different circumstances than in the video games. Most form changes simply require waiting 5 days, maximum happiness, or using an evolution item, although some Pokémon require multiple factors. Some require that the evolution happen at a certain time of day, (6 PM - 6 AM for night-based changes, 6 AM - 6 PM for day-based changes). Others require that a certain weather condition be in effect.

Notes[]
- Deoxys and Sawsbuck are unique in that each of their forms can also be obtained by hatching a particular egg. These eggs have their own Dex entries and must be obtained to fully complete the Egg Dex.
- Although Deerling can change forms in the games, the only way to obtan the different forms of Deerling on GPX+ is to hatch their individual eggs.
- Forms are indicated on the GPX+ Pokédex with a [Form] modifier appended to the end of the name (e.g., Bidofo [Light Magic]). The reverse is not necessarily true; for example, although Cherrim's "extreme weather" forms are depicted in this way (e.g., Cherrim [Damp]), these forms are more akin to evolutions and cannot be reversed.
- Form changing Pokémon are not to be confused with Pokémon who, canonically, have multiple, unalterable forms, such as Unown and Shellos. Additionally, while Burmy can change between its different forms in the games, each form has its own egg and Pokédex entry on GPX+ and cannot change between its different states.
